BusyInternet Picks the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIMG), Award for Best Internet Service Provider (ISP) for 2009

 

Ghana’s Best Internet Service Provider (ISP), BusyInternet, has been adjudged the best ‘Internet Service provider (ISP) of the year 2009’ at the 21st annual Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) awards at a glittering ceremony at the State Banquet Hall in Accra.

The CIMG Awards was instituted twenty one years ago to promote the highest professional standards in the marketing fraternity and encourage excellence among marketing practitioners. 

BusyInternet’s award for the ‘Internet Service Provider of the Year 2009’marks the second time in a row that the technology company has won top honors in this category. BusyInternet was awarded the ‘Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the year 2007/2008’ by the Ministry of Communications, but this is the first time the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana has conferred its top honors in the ISP category on BusyInternet.

Commenting on the award the Managing Director of BusyInternet, Mr. Praveen Sadalage, who received the award on behalf of the company said, “over the last nine years, BusyInternet has not only led the internet revolution in Ghana, but is constantly employing innovative ways to bring quality and affordable services to our customers.” 

Mr. Sadalage further noted that “BusyInternet has established itself as the leading Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Ghana. With services ranging from broadband internet, wifi hotspots, Data-hosting and storage facilities, network planning, and world class large format cybercafés, Busy seeks to provide the most reliable and cost effective internet services to individuals and businesses.”

Mr. Kwasi Nkrumah, Sales and Marketing Manager of BusyInternet, who accompanied the Managing Director to receive the award on behalf of BusyInternet said: “We believe that our performance at the awards is a clear demonstration of BusyInternet’s strong commitment to promoting marketing excellence in Ghana.”

Mr. Nkrumah further noted that “BusyInternet could not have won the ‘ISP of the Year 2009’ without the tremendous efforts of the entire Busy family and we would like to thank each and every one of them for their continued dedication and commitment to their various roles within the company. It is only with their ongoing support that BusyInternet is able to achieve continuous improvements in all areas of its operations.”
